Skewed House
Year: 2018
Location: Udaipur
Category: Residential
The Skewed House, encompassing a 7000 sqft site situated at the confluence of two streets, is designed to celebrate the family and take cues from the Indian heritage. The elevation of the residence embraces the semi open terrace space on the first floor by outlining it with a linear element. This linear overhang then accentuates the corner by continuing till the periphery only to get extended to the other side forming an interplay of volumes due to the interchangeable linear axis. The interior comprises an entry foyer opening into a double height living room adjacent to dining space flanking on the left of the kitchen. The style is cohesive as is outside and one word that summarizes all - simplicity.
